About MeHello everyone! My name is Paige Phillips and I am the Gifted Education teacher for Union, Tennerton, French Creek, Rock Cave, and Washington District Elementary Schools. I graduated from Fairmont State University in December of 2015 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Currently, I am pursing my M.A. in Special Education with a Certification in Gifted Education K-12.
Outside of school I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I have a large group of friends, and an even larger family. Needless to say there is never a dull moment. Reading is one of my favorite ways to spend my time, and I have a personal goal to read all of the books in my personal library. My only issue is that I buy three books for every one I read. :) Not only do I enjoy reading, but writing is another one of my favorite activities. One dream that I have for myself is to one day become a published author. I am a dog lover and an amateur photographer (heavy emphasis on amateur). I have two dogs, Charlie who is eleven and Blake who is three. |
About Gifted Education |
I am very excited to be working with your students this year. As a member of gifted education throughout my educational career, I have an idea of what I DO NOT what this program to be like. After doing a lot of research, attending trainings, and speaking to other professionals I have some big ideas for how I want this class to run. One thing that I do ask is that you be patient with me. Some of the methods I try may not work, but as life long learners, we learn from our failures. If you ever have any questions, never hesitate to contact me.
